Dr. Pena is a board certified Family Medicine physician seeing pediatric and adult patients for primary and acute care. Dr. Pena also participates in the OCHS Prenatal and Office Based Opioid Treatment Programs. Dr. Pena received her undergraduate degree at Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Marine Science, magna cum laude in 1984. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University Of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, MA in 1992 and completed a residency in Family Practice with Obstetrics at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME from 1992-1994 and in Family Practice with Obstetrics at Greater Lawrence Community Health Center, Lawrence/Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence, MA in 1994-1995. Dr. Pena practiced at Outer Cape Health Services as a family physician from 1995 through July 1998 prior to starting a private family medicine practice in Orleans from 1998-2001. She began consulting on a project to found, fund and open a community health center on the Mid-Cape in 2000, and joined the staff of the newly-founded Mid-Upper Cape Health Center (now named Harbor Community Health Center-Hyannis) in 2003, and practiced as a family physician there, including as acting medical director 2004-2005, until joining Outer Cape Health in 2015.
